It was announced at the Pony Canyon booth during AnimeJapan 2014 that D.backup will get an anime movie adaptation for 2015.
The story of D.backup was written by Physics Point (plot, scenario, illustration), and received the Anime-ka Taishou (Worth-Getting-Animated Award) grand prize during a contest held by Pony Canyon last June. More information will be announced on a new Onsen net radio station called "Ponykyan Zenbu!" and will be hosted by four new seiyuu starting April.

The two works that received special prizes, Sento Q by Takato Oonishi (scenario, plot) and Ore no Sempai. by Iyoko (manga), will be adapted into a light novel this winter and a web manga in May 2014, respectively.
