The fifth issue of Young Animal magazine of 2016, which will go on sale on February 26, has announced that the 4-koma historical comedy manga Nobunaga no Shinobi will be adapted into a TV anime.

The magazine also announced TMS Entertainment as the studio responsible for animation production. Episode 0 of the anime will be screened at AnimeJapan 2016, which will be held at the end of March at Tokyo Big Sight. Last week, seiyuu Kappei Yamaguchi previewed the series character designs on his Twitter account.

A spin-off series focusing on young Oda Nobunaga, Nobunaga no Shinobi: Owari Touitsu-ki, has also been serialized in Young Animal Arashi since 2012. That series has one compiled volume in print with a second scheduled to go on sale on February 29.
