(This Manga is Amazing!) rankings among male readers. The series currently has 17 volumes and more than 20 million copies in print.
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu's popular Kyoto field trip story was first adapted as an anime special for Jump Super Anime Tour 2013. A complete TV anime adaptation with a new production team and voice cast aired in the first half of 2015, and a second season began airing this past January.
The first of two live-action film adaptations opened in theaters in March 2015, earning 2.77 billion yen as the year's tenth highest-grossing domestic film according to data by the Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan. The second live-action film is scheduled to open in theaters on March 25.
