
Tohokushinsha Film Corporation has opened auditions for Kimikoe Project, a seiyuu training project which will involve an anime production. The audition is open to girls between 14 and 25 years old of all nationalities and runs from March 1 to April 30, 2016.
Kimikoe Project is being led by director Naoyuki Itou (Overlord), sound director Youji Shimizu (2015 Lupin III series), and music producer Youhei Kisara (μ's of Love Live! School Idol Project) from record label Lantis. Judges are emphasizing on the "power of voice" as a theme and encourage applicants to highlight their voice acting and singing skills.
Candidates will undergo three selection rounds, with the final selection being announced on August 7. More than one winner will be selected in the audition, and they will enter into an exclusive contract with Tohokushinsha. They will play the lead roles in an original anime produced by Tohokushinsha and will also debut as a vocal unit.
