This year's 26th issue of Shounen Sunday magazine announced that Hiromu Arakawa's agricultural manga Gin no Saji will resume serialization in next week's issue on May 23.
Arakawa started Gin no Saji in March 2011 via Shounen Sunday. There are 14 compiled volumes so far, with the latest going on sale on August of last year. The manga series has received awards such as the Manga Taishou in 2012, the award for the Shounen division of the 58th annual Shougakukan Manga Awards in 2013, and 2nd place in the manga division of Sugoi Japan Award in 2015. The serialization went on hiatus in 2014 as Arakawa tended to her family's health. The serialization resumed for one chapter on August 2016 before going on hiatus again. The manga series has received two 11-episode anime adaptations A-1 Pictures, which broadcast via Fuji TV's noitaminA timeslot on Summer 2013 and Winter 2014. A live-action movie adaptation premiered in March 2014.
