The official website of the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby anime series revealed on Monday that the fourth and final Blu-ray volume will bundle a completely new anime. The release will also include an original story titled Uma Hanashi (Horse Talk), the content of which is not depicted in the anime. The volume, comprising an episode along with the new anime, is scheduled for a November 14 release.
The first three Blu-ray volumes, bundling three episodes each, will ship on July 18, August 15, and October 17, respectively. The four volumes are retailing for 12,800 yen (approximately US$115) apiece.
Developed by Cygames, Uma Musume: Pretty Derby is an upcoming smartphone game, which anthropomorphizes racing horses as girls with exceptional running capacity, who aim to win at the "Twinkle Series" sports event. The media-mix project has also inspired webcomics and music CDs. The TV anime adaptation produced by P.A. Works debuted on April 2.
