
During the second anniversary event for the Azur Lane mobile game, which is taking place over the weekend, more information was unveiled for its Fall 2019 TV anime adaptation. Additional staff, cast, and theme song performers, along with a promotional video were revealed on Saturday. The anime will begin its broadcast on October 3 on Tokyo MX, followed by Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, and AT-X.

Azur Lane is a mobile game that was developed by Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi, and was published by bilibili in China in May 2017. Yostar localized the game in Japanese and English in September 2017 and May 20 of this year, respectively.
Motoki Tanaka (Grisaia no Kajitsu, Rewrite) is directing the anime at his Bibury Animation Studios. Jin Haganeya (Guilty Crown script) is handling the series composition.
