Hetalia World☆Stars' Manga Gets Anime Adaptation in Spring 2021


Frontier Works opened an official website for an anime adaptation of Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia World☆Stars side story manga on Saturday. The anime, featuring returning cast members from Hetalia Axis Powers, will debut in Spring 2021.

Synopsis
There are strange people in this world. If it is short, it will disappear for several days, and if it is long, it will disappear for hundreds of years. The name and personality changed, and suddenly appeared by someone's unexpected idea. Even though he is the most weird, he is loosely accepted and used by his boss. This is the story of such strange people.

Hiroshi Watanabe (Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae) is returning to direct the anime at Studio Deen. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Mairimashita! Iruma-kun) and Mariko Oka (Hatsukoi Monster) are also returning to handle the series composition and character designs, respectively.

Himaruya began drawing the spin off manga in Shounen Jump+ in September, 2014. Shueisha published the fourth volume in June 2017. The manga went on hiatus in April 2018.

The original Hetalia Axis Powers web manga inspired six seasons of net anime between January 2009 and October 2015. An anime film titled Hetalia Axis Powers Movie: Paint it, White premiered in Japan in June 2010.
