The anime series adapting Rui Tsukiyo's adventure fantasy light novel will begin airing on AT-X and Tokyo MX in January 2021.

Mami Fujita (Toradora) and Testu Inada (Appare-Ranman) are joining the cast as Blade and Bullet, respectively.
Minami Kuribayashi (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei!) is performing the opening theme "Zankoku na Yume to Nemure." The ending theme, "Yume de Sekai wo Kaeru nara," will be performed by the female idol unit Arcana Project.
Takuya Asaoka (Dorei-ku The Animation episode director) at TNK. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu) is handling both the series composition and script. Junji Gotou is also drawing the character designs.
Tsukiyo began penning the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in December 2016. Kadokawa began publishing the series in July 2017, featuring illustrations by Shiokonbu and shipped the eighth volume on July 1. The light novel has a cumulative 1.3 million copies of its volumes in print.
Souken Haga began a manga adaptation in Young Ace UP in October 2017. The seventh volume was published on October 10.
