A scan of the upcoming issue of Monthly Shounen Magazine, to be released on April 6, revealed that Noragami will be receiving a second season. The staff and cast members were also announced to return.
The first season of Noragami aired in Winter 2014 with 12 episodes. A two-episode OVA was also adapted from the manga.
Toka Adachi started the manga series in December 2010. It is serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Shounen Magazine and has twelve volumes published. The twelfth volume of the manga was released in November 2014 and ranked fifth in Oricon's weekly manga rankings chart. The thirteenth volume of the manga will be released on April 17. Kodansha Comics USA has licensed the manga for release in North America, and three volumes are currently available.
