Visual Novel 'ChäoS;Child' Gets Anime Adaptation


It was announced via live stream by Chiyomaru Shikura, the representative director of 5pb., that an anime adaptation of ChäoS;Child is in production.

The visual novel is the fourth series in 5pb.'s sci-fi adventure franchise, which also includes Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes. ChäoS;Child is the sequel game to ChäoS;HEAd, which was developed with Nitro+ and initially released in August 2008. It was also adapted into a TV anime in Fall 2008.

Described as a "psychological suspense" story, ChäoS;Child takes place in October 2015, six years after the events of ChäoS;HEAd. Abnormal events begin to occur in the Shibuya district, including mysterious deaths.

The tagline on the key visual (right) says:

If you are God, and the delusion becomes reality. About what kind of the noids you get?
Is it the sensual world? The despotic society? The destructive sanctions? Or...

ChäoS;Child was released for Xbox One in December 2014 and has also been announced to debut on Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and PS Vita on June 25. A demo version will be made available on March 30.
