Winners of 42nd Japan Academy Prize have been announced on Friday. Among the five nominees, Mirai no Mirai wins animation of the year.
Other nominees are Dragon Ball Super Movie: Broly, Penguin Highway, Detective Conan Movie 22: Zero The Enforcer, and Wakaokami wa Shougakusei! Movie.
The Japan Academy Prize recognizes excellence in Japanese films, both animation and live-action, actors, and creative staff similar to the Academy Awards and is given annually.
