The Frontier Works booth at this year's AnimeJapan announced an anime adaptation of Amatou's Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san manga on Saturday. Kadokawa launched an official website for the anime, revealing a key visual (pictured).
Synopsis
The modern-day vampire comedy centers on high school girl Amano, who was saved from a strange incident by a vampire girl named Sophie Twilight, and has been interested in her ever since. Akari arrives at her house uninvited and the two start to live together. Although a vampire, Sophie never attacks humans, but purchases blood and anime goods via mail and lives a modern life.
The slice of life comedy series began its serialization in the August 2013 issue of Comic Alive magazine before switching to Comic Cune in 2014. Kadokawa is publishing the fourth compiled volume on Monday, which will also include the anime announcement on its wraparound band.
