A Nico Live broadcast for the Tsugumomo TV anime held on Wednesday announced a second season for next year titled Tsugu Tsugumomo. Zero-G will continue producing the anime while Ryouichi Kuraya will reprise his roles as director and in series composition. The production for an OVA, which is uncensored, is also planned and crowdfunding will be held from March 7 to April 26. It will be 10 minutes in length and bundled with a manga volume to be released next year.
Tsugumomo is drawn by Yoshikazu Hamada, and began serialization in November 2007 in COMIC SEED! web magazine. Serialization was transferred to WEB Comic High! magazine in August 2008 due to the former discontinuing in June 2008. The series later moved to Monthly Action magazine with the first issue in May 2013 as a result of Futabasha integrating all of its web comic magazines into one (WEB Comic Action). Futabasha has published 22 volumes of the manga as of last November. The first season, produced by Zero-G, aired for 12 episodes in Spring 2017. An uncensored Blu-ray collection will be released on August 7.
