
The official website of the Beastars television anime revealed additional cast and a third promotional video on Tuesday. The anime series adapting Paru Itagaki's psychological drama manga will begin airing on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block in October 2019. Netflix will stream the show exclusively.

Anisong singer YURiKA (Hanebado!, Anima Yell!) will perform the ending theme.
Shinichi Matsumi (Houseki no Kuni episode director) is helming the series at animation studio Orange, with Nanami Higuchi (Little Witch Academia (TV)) in charge of composing the script. Nao Ootsu (Youjo Senki weapon design) is designing the characters, and Eiji Inomoto (Shuumatsu no Izetta) is serving as the chief CG director. Satoru Kousaki (Fate/Extra: Last Encore) is composing the music.
Shounen Champion began serializing Beastars in September 2016, which has 14 volumes in print as of July 8. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in 2018 and published the first volume on July 16. The second volume is planned for a September 17 release.
