Somali to Mori no Kamisama' Announces Additional Staff, Cast


The official website of the Somali to Mori no Kamisama (Somali and the Forest Spirit) anime series updated with additional staff, cast, a new key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video on Monday. The television anime adapting Yako Gureishi's fantasy slice of life manga will air in January 2020.

Voice actress Yuu Kobayashi (Shingeki no Kyojin) will play the character Kikila.

J-pop singer-songwriter Naotarou Moriyama composed and will perform the opening theme "Arigatou wa Kocchi no Kotoba." Inori Minase, who's voicing the titular character Somali, is performing the ending theme "Kokoro Somali." Minase also wrote the lyrics of the song.

Kenji Yasuda (Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens) is directing the series at animation studio Satelight, featuring character designs by Ikuko Itou (Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu).

Gureishi launched the manga online in Web Comic Zenyon in April 2015. Tokuma Shoten published the sixth compiled volume on April 20.
